Serving Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Our Mission
To alleviate the suffering of orphans and vulnerable children, in Egypt, by providing support for their physical, emotional, psychological, and mental well-being
Why Orphans and Vulnerable Children?
Orphans are children who have lost one or both parents. Many of these children live in homes supported by the mother, who is unable to provide even the most basic needs for her children. Many other orphans have been abandoned and left to live on the streets or in orphanages.
Vulnerable children include children who live in a home:
- - that has a chronically ill parent

- - in which an adult died in the past year
- - with a chronically ill adult
- - outside of household care
- - that is a child-headed or elderly-headed household
- - impoverished, displaced, etc.
Orphans and vulnerable children live in severe poverty, under subhuman conditions, and are devoid of basic needs such as nutrition, clothing, housing and sanitary facilities. They have no prospect for education or training opportunities that would empower them to function as productive citizens in the future.
